This policy only applies to purchases made through one of Property Magnets’ Sites as listed in the Business Terms & Conditions through Property Magnets directly or through one of its licensed distributors, authorised partners, agents, affiliates or contractors.
Any purchases made on third party websites, affiliate sites or payment gateways not maintained by Property Magnets are not covered under this Refund Policy or any terms included in our Business Terms & Conditions unless stated otherwise at the time of purchase.
Property Magnets serves customers in multiple countries. Most countries have some form of consumer protection standards and Property Magnets endeavors to ensure close alignment with such standards.
To that effect, Property Magnets has adopted the United Nations Guidelines for Consumer Protection as a standard operating procedure to ensure maximum consumer satisfaction as well as protection. An important aspect of consumer protection is helping consumers understand our policies in plain English and in a way that makes our policy documents user friendly and readable without needing a law degree.
For that purpose, we have broken down our policy into key headings making it easier for you to navigate through this page and get to the specific policy that applies to your purchase.
This policy does not cover any Mentoring Sessions associated with the course you have purchased whereby only the Appointment Cancellation Policy applies and all purchases are automatically marked as “final”.
The purpose of the 10-day Refund Policy is to provide our clients and students a choice to cancel their purchase if after purchasing our course(s) students experience access issues that remain unfixed beyond 2 business days since we were notified of any such issues by the student;
If you identified a major failure of our courses and any such failure remained unfixed beyond 2 business days since you notified us of any such major failure.
For the purposes of clarity, the following are the only events that would constitute a major failure of our course(s):
This refund policy does not apply if you purchased the course(s), received access to it and began using it but simply changed your mind, found cheaper alternative somewhere else, decided you did not like the course or had no use for it.
If for some reason, you are unhappy with your purchase from Property Magnets, we encourage you to communicate your concerns directly to us via an email to [email protected] or through a support ticket directly to our student support team.
We will make all reasonable efforts to make you happy but before we can do that, we need to understand the cause of your unhappiness. Our team will do the best to bring back your happiness through active measures which may include offering additional resources, additional coaching or mentoring sessions, further assistance with any aspects of our products, courses or services that are the reason for your unhappiness.
Protection against Serial Refunders
Property Magnets has adopted a Lesson Release Policy to protect its intellectual property and copyright. The purpose of this policy is to protect our business against the element of friendly fraud that exists in the realm of online shopping.
The Lesson Release Policy came into affect on the 10th of November, 2019 and all purchases made from Property Magnets or any of its licensed distributors, authorised partners, agents, affiliates or contractors after this date are subjected to the Lesson Release Policy.
Please read our Lesson Release Policy before making a purchase as access to course(s) is(are) now limited and in accordance with the Lesson Release Policy.
Property Magnets’ courses come with a 90-Day performance guarantee.
The best way to interpret this guarantee is to consider the concept of triggers and events.
This policy is triggered when all of the following events take place, (these are collectively called the “Guarantee Criterion”):
If you have met all the criterion mentioned above and if you have provided Property Magnets with evidence of your efforts then the following course-specific guarantees apply:
SMART Renovator Course
Subject to the Guarantee Criterion being satisfactorily met, if within 90 days you do not make at least $20,000 in profit from a deal, then your entire course fees will be refunded.
SMART Portfolio Builder Course
Subject to the Guarantee Criterion being satisfactorily met, if within 90 days you do not find a property that offers at least $20,000 capital gains or 5% annual rental yield, then your entire course fees will be refunded.
SMART Property Developer Course
Subject to the Guarantee Criterion being satisfactorily met, if within 180 days you do not find a deal that offers at least $20,000 in profit, then your entire course fees will be refunded.
While Property Magnets endeavors to provide you strategies and knowledge needed to succeed, none of those will make any difference if your personal circumstances make it nearly impossible for you to access credit from banks/lenders or be able to conduct business as usual.
Hence, you are automatically disqualified from the 90-Day Performance Guarantee if:
SMART Property Alerts are an email alert system that delivers a list of distressed properties as and when Property Magnets is able to intercept and deliver it to you.
You are eligible to ask for a refund within 10 days of your subscription purchase under the Refund Policy if:
This refund policy does not apply if you purchased the subscription to SMART Property Alerts, received access to it and began using it but simply changed your mind, found a similar service cheaper somewhere else, decided you did not like the alerts or had no use for it.
Further, given the dependency on alerts being delivered by email, you are responsible to ensure you have provided us the correct email address and have verified that email address to be accurate.
You must also ensure, you implement any active measures, including but not limited to the following, as and when asked by Property Magnets in order to ensure consistent delivery of emails directly to your inbox:
CAGROO is a web based housing market research tool specific to the Australian Market. It only offers housing market data for Australia.
You are eligible to ask for a refund within 10 days of your subscription purchase under the Refund Policy if:
This refund policy does not apply if you purchased the subscription to CAGROO, received access to it and began using it but simply changed your mind, found a similar service cheaper somewhere else, decided you did not like CAGROO or had no use for it.
From time to time, Property Magnets or any of its licensed distributors, authorised partners, agents, affiliates or contractors may run special promotions offering subscription to one or more of our products under a fixed day, trial offer.
If the trial plan offered required you to pay a small upfront fee by way of an access fee, setup fee or anything similar, that fee is non-refundable.
The trial offer will specify clearly the number of days after which, your trial will be converted to a paid subscription. This changeover is automatic and will take place unless you cancel your trial prior to the renewal date.
Renewal date will be clearly specified at the time of signing up as well as by email immediately upon your trial plan being setup.
When under a trial plan, the 10-day refund policy will not apply once your trial moves onto a paid subscription. For the avoidance of any doubts, consider the following scenario:
John paid $10 to try CAGROO for 10 days with the renewal price of the subscription being $99 per month. The $10 paid by John is non-refundable. John’s subscription changed from Trial to “Student Starter Plan” after 10 days and John was charged $99 at that time with the next $99 due one month later on a recurring basis.
John is now outside of the 10-day refund policy because John had the right to cancel without any recurring charges within the 10-day trial he paid $10 for.
What is John’s recourse once he is on the recurring plan?
We do not enforce any fixed term contracts. John is welcome to cancel his plan simply by clicking the “Cancel” button inside CAGROO. Any days remaining till next billing date will still be available for John and he can continue using CAGROO until the final day of his renewal.
His subscription will not be renewed and on the planned renewal date, his account access will be blocked.
Property Magnets advertises special offers from time to time through its Sites for its courses, products or services.
Such special offers are only limited to a set number of purchases and a time frame that is displayed on the checkout page visible when you try to make a purchase.
Students interested in taking up the offer can elect to pay $99 deposit to secure the special offer with the remainder of the payment due at a later date that will be pre-arranged with Property Magnets.
Any such deposit of $99 is non-refundable and if payment is not made by the agreed upon date then the deposit will be forfeited and the special offer will be released back into the pool.
There are no exceptions to this policy.
By entering into a business relationship with Property Magnets either directly or through any of its licensed distributors, authorised partners, agents, affiliates or contractors, you are also agreeing to our Payment Protection Policy.
Under this policy, you acknowledge that you are forfeiting your right to chargebacks on credit card transactions made to Property Magnets and your only recourse is to rely on our Business Terms & Conditions and the Refund Policy.
If you signed up for a course with Property Magnets either directly or through any of its licensed distributors, authorised partners, agents, affiliates or contractors, you agree to continue payment due as per the split payment regime you have agreed to until the entire course fee is paid off in full.
Simply put, you are legally obliged to pay for the entire course and you cannot stop paying us part-way through the agreed term.
Property Magnets reserves all legal rights and remedies to pursue any outstanding payments due to Property Magnets through all legal and debt collection means.
Any debt collection costs will be added on top of the amount due and debt collection may adversely affect your ability to obtain credit in the future.
If you wish to cancel your payments due to financial hardship, then please contact our billing team to discuss how we can help you. You can write to us on [email protected] or raise a support ticket to the Student Support team.
If you wish to cancel your payments because you are unhappy for some reason then first and foremost, you must contact us via [email protected] and allow us the opportunity to try and bring back your happiness.
Stopping your payments directly via your bank is not an acceptable form of dispute resolution in the event that you wanted to cancel your payments and did not fall within the refund policy and your request for refund was rejected by us.
We are mindful of the fact that we may not be able to make everyone happy. In the event that you wish to raise a dispute with us and have exhausted all normal communication channels with no outcome then you are welcome to resort to the Dispute Resolution rules as per the UNITED NATIONS COMMISSION ON INTERNATIONAL TRADE LAW.
